HOTEL RESERVATIONS
Please make your hotel reservation at the conference hotel here. All of our guest rooms are reserved at the Palmer House at the rate of $259 per night. These rooms will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Please reserve your room by September 5th to receive the group rate. Book your room in the SREE conference Room Block.
Student attendees should book their hotel reservation here. We have a limited number of rooms at a discounted rate of $229 per night for student members attending the conference. These rooms will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Please reserve your room by September 5th to receive the group rate. The student rate will pop up when you reserve your room. Detailed information on the hotel, check in/out times, parking, and additional pertinent information may be accessed on the hotel website. Check in time is 3:00pm, and check out time is 11:00am.
HOTEL CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel your reservation for no charge up to 72 hours before arrival. Please note that the hotel will assess a fee of (1) night room and tax if you must cancel after this deadline.
PRINTING ONSITE
The hotel has an onsite UPS store with available copy and printing services as well as post/parcel services. Please note that the UPS store is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Tuesday to Friday: 9 am – 6 pm
Saturday: 9 am – 3 pm.
RESTAURANTS
The hotel has an in-house restaurant, Lockwood, which is open 6:30am – 10:00pm as well as Lockwood Express which offers coffee and quick dining options 6am – 9pm. There are also a wide variety of restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
TRAVEL TO/FROM HOTEL
The most economical way to travel to the hotel from Chicago's airports is on the Blue Line within the L system of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). You can also take a taxi or ride-sharing service; costs will depend on traffic which can be heavy at times. You can find an overview of options below. You can access detailed instructions regarding transportation to/from the airports, including where to meet shared ride services, where to find a taxi, etc. here.
CTA Blue Line "L"
When taking public transportation from O’Hare International Airport, take the Blue Line train to Monroe/Dearborn stop. Take Monroe east to the hotel. The Palmer House is on the south side of the street. From Midway Airport, take the Orange Line from Midway to downtown. Get off at the Adams/Wabash stop. The Palmer House is located on the west side of Wabash Avenue.
Driving Directions: Follow signs for I-190 out of airport. Take I-190 to I-90/94 east (Kennedy Expressway). Take I-90/94 to Monroe Street exit, turn left on Monroe Street (East) , Approximately 8 blocks to The Palmer House Hilton. Hotel is on the right.
Public Transportation Directions: Take the Blue Line train to Monroe/Dearborn stop. Take Monroe east to the hotel. The Palmer House is on the south side of the street.

Drive time: 30-45 min.
Driving Directions: North on Cicero Avenue. Take Stevenson Expressway (I-55) Northeast to Kennedy Expressway (I-90) West. Exit Monroe Street, turn right (East), 8 blocks to The Palmer House Hilton. Hotel is on the right.
Public Transportation Directions: Take the Orange Line from Midway to downtown. Get off at the Adams/Wabash stop. The Palmer House is located on the west side of Wabash Avenue.
PARKING
The Palmer House offers both self parking for $57 per night and valet parking for $85 per night. Information on parking at The Palmer House can be accessed here.
